"A No-Impact Lifestyle In Downtown Manhattan"
When asked to follow, and journal about, a blog of our choice for this course, I promptly chose one that I had been enjoying for some time already. That blog, the daily ramblings and relelations of Colin Beavan, aka No-Impact Man, gives me hope of living a lifestyle free of the polluting contraints all too familiar to our affluent American lifestyle.

"A guilty Liberal finally snaps, swears off plastic, goes organic, becomes a bicycle nut, turns off his power, composts his poop and, while living in New York City, generally turns into a tree-hugging lunatic who tries to save the polar bears and the rest of the planet from environmental catastrophe while dragging his baby daughter and Prada-wearing, Four Seasons-loving wife along for the ride."

Having perhaps the longest subtitle/disclaimer I've read, the No-Impact Man blog urges the reader to become active or at least to care. More than simply prompting, Beavan provides concrete examples and ideas to aid in a carbon emission free lifestyle.

To the left are images that illustrate the general idea and mission of the No-Impact Man blog.
